Open Gym
UGA’s Open Gym provides hours of fun and safe activity for everyone from preschoolers to teens! Open to both current UGA students and guests, it is a great opportunity for students to come in and practice what they learn in classes or to just have fun on the equipment. Parents are always welcome to attend with their child as well.
Waiver must be signed to participate in open gym!
Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please note, open gyms are subject to cancellation without notification. Of course, we promise to do our best at keeping guests informed via email and social media of any changes. Please call the office at 815-469-8282 for any questions. Thank you!
Preschool Open Gyms: Available for age 5 and under(Preschool Open Gyms are starting August 15th)
- Every Tuesday 12pm-1pm Cost: $7
- Every Thursday 11am-12pm Cost: $7
School Year Open Gyms: Available to ages 4-17.
- Friday: 7-8:30 p.m. Cost: $15 (Starts August 18th)
- Sunday: 1-2:30 p.m. Cost: $10 (Starts September 4th)
Summer Open Gym (Ending August 9th) Available to ages 4-17.
Open Gym Guidelines:
- Dress appropriately. No shoes allowed on the equipment.
- No food or drink allowed in the gym.
- All participants are expected to respect others and the facility.
- Open Gym’s are subject to cancellation due to scheduling conflicts without notification.
- For safety reasons, UGA Staff may ask participants to leave Open Gym if they do not follow these guidelines.
Open Gym Rules:
- Must walk around the tumble track, cannot cut across it
- Trampoline is one at a time, no flipping into pit from trampoline, only tumble track
- Climbing ropes and Strap Bar cannot be used during opening gyms
- Must have 8 inch mat under bars if using high bar
- No climbing on stacked mats on blue floor
The rules and guidelines may be changed or altered based on UGA Staff's discretion, open gym participants may be asked to stop if staff deem something to be dangerous or inappropriate.
