Welcome to our staff page! Here you'll find fun and exciting info about our entire staff. UGA staff are all highly trained and experienced coaches and most are former gymnasts and competitive cheerleaders themselves. We strive to hire not only knowledgeable athletes but also individuals who exemplify the qualities and characteristics we want to teach our students! All of our staff are background checked through USA Gymnastics and NCSI databases and all are Safesport certified as well. Rec and team coaches participate in numerous in-house training throughout the year along with additional training through USAG Safety, first aid, CPR and AED certifications. “My coaching career began at the age of 19. My love for the sport grew as I moved from coaching recreational gymnastics to team gymnastics. I was 21 when I started my first Developmental Team and it was just recently when one of those girls graduated high school with high honors and now at the University of Miami in Ohio. I always knew gymnastics was a journey that built so many things besides medals and trophies to display for friends and family. It was her banquet speech that helped so many understand what I already knew…gymnastics not only made her a better athlete, but a better person. Through countless hours of training she learned two important skills – team work and time management. I look forward to the upcoming years of training, mentoring, and helping other young athletes develop into intelligent, caring, and hardworking adults through the sport of gymnastics.”

- Current USAG Member, USAG Safety Certified, CPR & First Aid Certified
- Coached Compulsory Gymnastics (Levels 4-6) since 1992.
- Coached Optional Gymnastics (Levels 7-10) since 1995.
- Head Clinician on an event at Region 5 Training Camps (High Tech camp/Elites and Nationals Qualifiers, Forward Progress Camp/Levels 9/10 and Super Camp/Levels 7-9)
Accomplishments
- Coached several State, Regional, and National Champions
- Coached several State Championship Teams
- 2004, 2007 and 2008 Junior Olympic National Team Coach
- Region 5 All-Star Team Coach (2004-China, 2005-El Salvador, 2006-Germany, 2008-Costa Rica)
- Coached a gymnast on the All-Star Team 2004-China, 2005-El Salvador, 2006-Germany, 2008-Costa Rica, 2012 – Panama
- Coached a gymnast in 2004, 2007, and 2008 onto the Junior Olympic National Team
- Coached at least one gymnast to both Level 9 and 10 National Championships since 2000
- 2004 Region 5 Contributor of the Year award
- Host of the Region 5 Annual Charity Golf Outing
