To Our UGA Family, 

We want to take this opportunity to share with you United Gymnastics Academy’s approach to COVID-19.  We are closely monitoring the situation and following recommended guidance from The Illinois Department of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of State. 

• Wash your hands often with soap and water
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick
• Stay home when you are sick
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and throw the tissue in the trash
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipes

Additionally, while there have been no reported cases in our area, and certainly not at the gym, we have enacted our prevention plan out of an abundance of caution:

• Post class cleaning gym of and preschool apparatus
• Coaches are required to wash hands or use sanitizer after each class
• We are vigilantly adhering to our employee sick policy
• Consistent lobby cleaning of all horizontal surfaces including window sills, tables, chairs, door handles
• Hand sanitizer has been placed in public areas for the use of all
• Disinfectant spray will be readily available for additional use 
• Finally we urge all students or family members feeling ill to take advantage of our make-up policy. Should you miss a class at any time, simply call the office to reschedule. We have decided to honor make ups from this session through the end of the school year

After consulting with many industry experts in this area of expertise we are confident this plan will drastically diminish all of our chances of exposure.
