Mr. Willmeng's coaching career began at age 19 and I has been coaching for over 15 years.
"My love for the sport only grew as I moved from coaching just recreational gymnastics to team gymnastics. I was around 21 when I started my first Developmental Team and it was just last year when one of those girls graduated high school with high honors and is now at the University of Miami in Ohio. I always knew gymnastics was a journey that built so many things besides metals and trophies to display for friends and family. It was in her banquet speech that helped so many others understand what I all ready had known. Gymnastics not only made her a better athlete but a better person. Through countless hours of training she learned two important skills, team work and time management. I now look forward to the upcoming years of training, mentoring, and helping develop young athletes into intelligent, caring, and hardworking adults through the sport of gymnastics."

- Current USAG Safety Certified 13+ years
- Coached 14+ years of Compulsory Gymnastics (Levels 4-6)
- Coached 11+ years of Optional Gymnastics (Levels 7-10)
- Head Clinician on an event at Region 5 Training Camps (High Tech camp/Elites and Nationals Qualifiers, Forward Progress Camp/Levels 9/10 and Super Camp/Levels 7-9)

- 2004, 2007 and 2008 Junior Olympic National Team Coach
- Region 5 All-Star Team Coach 2004-China, 2005-El Salvador, 2006-Germany, 2008-Costa Rica
- Coached a gymnast on the All-Star Team 2004-China, 2005-El Salvador, 2006-Germany, 2008-Costa Rica
- Coached a gymnast in 2004, 2007, and 2008 onto the Junior Olympic National Team
- 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 coached a Region 5 All-Star Team member that traveled to China, El Salvador, Germany, and Costa Rica
- Coached at least one gymnast to both Level 9 and 10 National Championships since 2000
- Coached girls to full athletic scholarships at University of Illinois, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Northern Illinois University, University of Missouri, and University of Kentucky
- 2004 Region 5 Contributor of the Year award
- Host of the Region 5 Annual Charity Golf Outing
